ontario_planetarium_mars_mission_showSpace authors and Ontario Planetarium presenters/admins Rick Stankiewicz and Peter McMahon are proud to present an exclusive new show based on Peter’s upcoming 2015 book with Kids Can Press, “The Space Adventurer’s Guide”

In this new show, participants will get to explore the past, present, and future (including humanity’s future) on Mars.mars_show_astronauts

LIVE interactive narration by journalists actively involved in reporting on missions to Mars combine with stunning CGI visuals to take participants on the voyage of a lifetime, from Earth, 50 million km further from the Sun, to the surface of the Red Planet.

  • ontario_planetarium_mars_planetcanyons, such as the vast Mariner Valley
  • the mountains of Mars, such as Olympus Mons (the Solar System’s tallest mountain)
  • ice caps & glaciers
  • ground-level fly-overs of some of the craters and ridges explored by NASA’s Mars rovers Opportunity and Curiosity
  • the moons of Mars, which we’ll travel to and orbit around
